2027, MONTH BY MONTH

The 2027 Promo, Holiday and Recognition Calendar

The 2027 dates that move promo budgets, month by month, with the month to place each order and a real live product for every quarter.

A calendar is only useful if it tells you when to start. So this one gives you the 2027 date for each occasion that moves promo orders, plus the month to place the order. Every date was checked against the 2027 calendar, weekday shown, so you can see where the weekend lands before you plan around it.

Plan in months. Each order below has an order-by month, not a day count, because your count, your art and your proof decide the real timing. Treat the month as your deadline, and aim to be finished before it arrives.

Q1: January to March

Q1 is when budgets are still fresh and most people haven't ordered anything yet. Use it for the recognition items that set the tone for the year.

  • Valentine's Day, Sunday, February 14. The date is a Sunday in 2027, so plan the handoff for Friday, February 12. Client gift lists are the real use case here, not a bowl of candy for the whole office. Order in January, so the list is set before February starts.
  • Employee Appreciation Day, Friday, March 5. The first Friday in March gives you a day to hand things out and a weekend to think about them. Order in January, and get names and sizes from HR before you do.

The Q1 product is the RPET 5" x 7" Journal Notebook, at $2.84/unit at 100. A notebook sits on a desk through the budget meetings, and that is the point. Catalog prices exclude setup and run charges, so the quote adds them. Real prices on every product page.

Q2: April to June

Q2 has the busiest run of people-focused dates. Most of them want the same thing: something a person can use at a desk, in a classroom or at the bedside.

  • Administrative Professionals Day, Wednesday, April 21. Pick something the assistant would use, not a plant they have to keep alive. Order in February.
  • Teacher Appreciation Week, Monday, May 3 through Friday, May 7. A full school week, so the gift can go out on any day of it. Order in February, before the school calendar fills up.
  • Nurses Week, Thursday, May 6 through Wednesday, May 12. The week crosses one weekend, so plan the handoff for a weekday shift. Order in February.
  • Mother's Day, Sunday, May 9. It falls inside Nurses Week, so one order can often cover both if the product fits. Order in March.
  • Memorial Day, Monday, May 31. The last Monday in May, and the first big outdoor event of the season for many companies. Order in April.
  • Father's Day, Sunday, June 20. The third Sunday in June. Order in April, the same window as Memorial Day, so one April order can cover both.

The Q2 product is the Sublimated Tote Bag (2 Sided), at $4.15/unit at 250. A tote works at the admin desk, in the classroom and at the weekend market, and the sublimated panels give you room for a logo on both sides.

Q3: July to September

Q3 covers the outdoor season, the first day of school and the back-to-office reset.

  • Independence Day, Sunday, July 4. The federal holiday is observed on Monday, July 5, because the day itself falls on a Sunday. Order in May for cookouts, parades and client picnics.
  • Back to School, August. Schools set their own first days, so the calendar gives you a month, not a date. Order in May, so the bags are in hand before the first bell.
  • Labor Day, Monday, September 6. The first Monday in September and the usual back-to-the-office kickoff. Order in June.

The Q3 product is the 210D RPET Cinch-Up Backpack, at $1.94/unit at 100. A cinch pack is light enough for the gym, the bus and the first day of school, and cheap enough to hand to every new hire on the same day.

The summer dates are small, but they cluster. Back to School and Labor Day sit about a month apart, and the same team usually runs both. Put them on one sheet and place the bag and backpack orders in a single pass, so one proof covers both events.

Q4: October to December

Q4 is where swag budgets get squeezed. The dates stack up fast, and every seller wants the same weeks, so the order-by months matter more here than anywhere else in the year.

  • Breast Cancer Awareness Month, all of October. Cause items get the most use when people would keep them anyway. Order in August, so the message is on the table before the month starts.
  • Halloween, Sunday, October 31. The giveaway default is candy, and candy is fine. Anything you want kept past the weekend needs to be on the order sheet in August.
  • Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11. A date that deserves more than a card. Order in September.
  • Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 25. The fourth Thursday in November. Client gratitude gifts go out in the days just before, so order in September.
  • Black Friday, Friday, November 26. Cyber Monday falls on Monday, November 29, and Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, November 30. Retail and cause promos for all three belong in the August order window.
  • Christmas, Saturday, December 25. A Saturday in 2027, so the office party will probably land earlier that week. Order in September, because holiday gifting is the crunch of the year.

The Q4 product is the Men's DAYTON Fleece Hoody, at $16.75/unit at 12. A fleece hoody is the cold-weather gift for the outdoor event, the holiday party and the crew that works the December shifts.

Working the Calendar Backward

Start with the order-by month for each date, then work backward from it. If the order-by month is February and the art isn't ready, your first job is the art in January. Art is usually the slowest step, not the blanks.

Build the count before you pick the product. Start from the headcount for the internal dates, add a margin for new hires and late additions, and then work out the budget per person. The product follows from that number, not the other way around.

Keep one sheet with the date, the order-by month, the product, the count and the name of the person who signs the proof. The signature line matters. A missing signature stalls orders as often as anything else on the list.

Two dates can share one order. Nurses Week and Mother's Day overlap, and Memorial Day and Father's Day sit in the same April window, so a single product and a single proof can serve both. Fewer proofs mean fewer chances for a wrong name or a wrong size to slip through.

FAQ

Why is the order timing listed by month instead of by day?

Because the real timing depends on your count, your art approval and the decoration method, and those change from order to order. A month gives you a deadline you can plan around without pretending every job runs on the same clock.

Are all the 2027 dates on this calendar fixed?

The fixed-date holidays and observances are fixed. Back to School has no set date, and Breast Cancer Awareness Month runs for all of October. Check any school or company calendar that sets its own dates.

Which date should I start with if I can only do one?

For recognition, start with Employee Appreciation Day on Friday, March 5. Order in January, and you have the most room for the art and the proof.

Can one product work for more than one occasion?

Often, yes. A journal can serve an admin day and a recognition week, and a tote can serve a teacher gift and a summer market. Keep the design neutral enough to reuse and the occasion can change without a new order.
