Information we collect
Information you give us
- Orders and quote requests: your name, email address, phone number, company or organization, shipping address, in-hands date, purchase order number, the products, quantities and decoration you choose, and any notes you add.
- Artwork: logo files and other artwork you upload, and the placement you set in our product preview.
- Contact forms and messages: your name, email address, phone number, organization, your message and any file you attach.
- Accounts: if you create an account, your name, email address and password (stored in hashed form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and basic profile information from Google.
- Payment: card payments are handled by our payment processor. See Payments.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages you view, products you look at, the site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.
- Advertising and analytics information: identifiers from cookies, pixels and similar tools, including ad-click identifiers that tell us which ad brought you to the site. See Cookies, pixels and advertising.
- Information stored in your browser: your cart is saved in your browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back. Signing in uses a session cookie.
How we use your information
- To price, produce, proof, ship and support your order, and to send order confirmations, proofs and receipts.
- To answer questions and prepare quotes.
- To run your account and remember your cart.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including showing you our ads on other sites and apps.
- To send marketing email, if you've agreed to receive it or where the law otherwise allows (you can opt out any time).
- To prevent fraud, secure the site, keep records, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run the business:
- Production and shipping partners — the decorators, product makers and carriers who produce and deliver your order receive the details they need to do it, such as your artwork and shipping address.
- Service providers — companies that host the site, process payments, deliver email, provide analytics and run advertising for us. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Advertising partners — Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok receive information through their pixels and tags, as described in the next section.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect our rights, customers or the public.
- Business transfers — if Freebird is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that deal.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state laws treat the use of advertising pixels as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out of that; see Your privacy rights.
Cookies, pixels and advertising
We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies, managed through Google Tag Manager, to run the site, measure how it's used and measure our advertising. These may include Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel. These tools collect information about your visit (such as pages viewed, products added to your cart and completed purchases) and let the platforms show you our ads, measure whether our ads led to a visit or purchase, and build audiences for advertising.
You can control this in several ways:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site, like your cart and sign-in, may not work without them.
- Adjust ad personalization with each platform: Google Ads Settings, Meta ad preferences and TikTok ad settings.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
Our site doesn't currently change its behavior in response to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
Marketing email
If you sign up for our emails or buy from us, we may send you news, new products and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop by contacting us. You'll still get emails about your orders, like confirmations, proofs and receipts.
Payments
Card payments are processed by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. Your card number is sent from your browser straight to the processor and never passes through or is stored on our servers. We receive confirmation that the payment went through, along with the transaction details we need for our records, refunds and support.
Your artwork
Logos and artwork you send us are used to prepare your proofs and produce your order, and we keep them with your order records so we can reproduce the order if you come back for more. We share them only with the partners who produce your order. We won't use your logo in our own marketing without your permission.
How long we keep it
We keep order records, and the information needed to support them, for as long as we need them for your orders, reorders, warranty and service questions, and our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We keep other information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then delete or anonymize it.
Security
The site is served over encrypted HTTPS, and access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if the law requires it after a security incident.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you and how we use and share it, and get a copy of it.
- Correct information that's wrong.
- Delete your personal information, subject to exceptions such as order and tax records we're required to keep.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, including for targeted advertising.
- Appeal our decision if we deny your request.
To make a request, email sales@freebirdpromo.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line, or call 888-267-6059 (Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 Eastern). We'll verify your request by matching it to information we already have, such as the email address on your order. You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Children
This site is for businesses, schools, teams and adults placing orders. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant we'll give notice on the site or by email.
