Questions?
We've got answers.

Everything about ordering swag, sending art, and getting it shipped, without the hold music. Big Free read every question so you don't have to guess.

Ordering swag shouldn't require a decoder ring. You need items that represent your brand, usually for a specific event or deadline, and you don't have time to become an expert in screen printing or order minimums along the way. That's Big Free's whole job.

Below is everything we get asked most, sorted so you can skip straight to the part that's actually bugging you. Can't find it here? Our Customer Care flock is one message away.

01

General questions

Start here if you're new to the flock — what merch actually is, and how to pick something people won't stuff in a drawer.

It's a logo doing a job. Handed to the right person at the right moment, it sticks around, gets worn, gets seen, and quietly reminds people you exist. Handed to the wrong person, it's landfill. The goal is always the first one — something people actually keep.

Picture the moment before you picture the product. A launch party wants something people grab and wear that night. A client gift wants something that survives a desk drawer for years. Nail the moment first and the right item practically picks itself.

The stuff people would actually buy for themselves:

  • Tees, hoodies, and quarter-zips
  • Water bottles and insulated mugs
  • Tote bags and backpacks
  • Notebooks, pens, and desk gear
  • Stickers and hats (cheap to add, always claimed first)

Depends on the item, not on us being difficult. Corporate gifts and premium pieces tend to have friendlier minimums than the deep-discount bulk stuff. If keeping the count low actually matters for your order, tell your rep and they'll steer you toward things that fit.

Absolutely. One clean logo file can go on tees, mugs, totes, whatever fits your crowd. Some products need a simplified version of your mark depending on the print method, which we'll flag when we set things up. Note that each product carries its own one-time setup fee to build the template your logo prints from.

Yes, organic and recycled apparel, reusable drinkware, and bags made from recycled materials are all in the mix. Ask your rep to filter your options to just those categories if that's the direction you're headed.

Artwork questions

The short version lives here. For the full breakdown on file types, PMS matching, and imprint methods, see our Artwork Tips & FAQ page.

Vector first: .AI, .EPS, .PDF, or .SVG with fonts outlined. We'll also take a high-res .PNG or .JPG if that's what you've got, as long as it's large enough for the print area plus a little breathing room on the edges.

Upload it right on your store's setup page, or reply to your confirmation email with the file attached. Got a big file or a shared drive link? Email it over and we'll grab it from there.

On select print methods, yes. Give us your PMS number and we'll match it as closely as the method allows. Some techniques (like embroidery thread) render color a little differently than ink, so we'll flag it if a perfect match isn't possible.

We don't offer full custom design work, but we can help you drop in clean text or stock imagery to get a simple design off the ground. If you've got a logo file anywhere, even an old one, send it our way and we'll tell you if it's usable.

Yes, once it's set up, it's saved to your account, so reordering or adding a new product later doesn't mean digging up the file again.

Every time, and it's free. Nothing goes into production until you approve it, and revisions before approval don't cost anything either.

Shipping questions

Big Free personally supervises nothing about shipping — but here's how it works anyway.

Shipping is calculated based on the weight of your order and the destination. You'll see the exact cost during checkout before you finalize anything.

You choose your speed at checkout, from standard ground up through next-day options. Need it faster than that? Ask about rush production; select items qualify.

Yes. If your whole order is going to one place, like an office or an event, just note that in your order comments. If you need it split across multiple recipients, send us a spreadsheet with everyone's shipping info after you place the order and we'll handle it from there.

We ship within the US (including Hawaii and Alaska) and Canada. For anywhere else, you'd need to route through a reshipping service on your end.

You'll get a tracking number by email once it ships, and you can pull it up any time from your account's order history.

We can request a blind shipment, but it isn't guaranteed. We'll do our best, though our company info may still appear somewhere on the shipment, like a packing slip or label.

Payment questions

The one section where Big Free promises to keep the jokes to a minimum.

Major credit cards, ACH, and, for larger team or company orders, purchase orders and invoicing.

Once you approve your proof. Nothing's charged while a design is still back and forth.

Where it's legally required, yes. The rate is based on your shipping destination and applied automatically at checkout.

If your organization has tax-exempt status, send over your certificate and we'll update your account so future orders skip the tax line entirely.

If it doesn't match your approved proof, we'll remake it, refund it, or credit it. Your call. Reach out within 60 days of delivery and we'll sort it out.

Ordering questions

Changed your mind, ordered too much, or just curious how the gears turn — start here.

Before you approve your proof, yes, freely. Once it's approved and production starts, changes get a lot harder, so that proof step is really your last checkpoint.

Some print methods carry a one-time setup fee to build the template your logo prints from. Reorder the same design later and that fee is waived.

Log into your account, find the past order, and hit reorder. Need to change sizes or quantities, just adjust before you confirm.

On a lot of items, yes. It's the easiest way to check fit, feel, and print quality before your team commits to a full run.

Only if you have the rights to use it. By placing an order, you're confirming the artwork is yours to print and doesn't infringe on anyone else's trademark or copyright.

06

Other questions

The odds and ends Big Free couldn't file anywhere else.

Yes, plenty of customers order in bulk to resell. Larger quantities come with better per-item pricing, which helps your margin.

Drop your email on our newsletter signup and we'll send offers your way. No spam, just the good stuff.

It's the time it takes to actually make your product after your proof is approved and payment clears. That's separate from however long shipping takes on top of that.

Select items offer expedited production for an extra fee, and we can usually pair that with faster shipping too if your deadline is tight.

Message the flock. A real person reads every note, no chatbot pretending to be Big Free, and we'd rather answer your one weird question than let you guess wrong.

No phone tree, no bot loop. Just tell us what's going on and Big Free will sort it out.
